ঈদকে সামনে রেখে দেশে বড় ধরনের হামলার পরিকল্পনা করছে জঙ্গিরা। এমন তথ্যের ওপর ভিত্তি করে পুলিশের সকল ইউনিটকে সর্বোচ্চ সতর্ক অবস্থানে থাকতে নির্দেশ দিয়েছে সদরদপ্তর।দুই দিন আগে এ সংক্রান্ত একটি চিঠি পুলিশের সকল ইউনিটে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
চিঠিতে বলা হয়েছে, করোনার সুযোগ কাজে লাগিয়ে নতুন করে সংগঠিত হচ্ছে জঙ্গিরা। আসন্ন ঈদের আগে কিংবা পড়ে তারা বড় ধরনের হামলা চালাতে পারে। এদিকে কাউন্টার টেররিজম ইউনিটের প্রধান মনিরুল ইসলাম নিউজ টোয়েন্টিফোরকে জানিয়েছেন, দেশে জঙ্গিদের নেটওয়ার্ক আগের যে কোনো সময়ের চেয়ে দুর্বল।
ঈদের আগে তারা মাথাচার দিয়ে ওঠার চেষ্টা করতে পারে। তবে বড় ধরনের হামলার সক্ষমতা তাদের নেই। তবে আইন-শৃঙ্খলা বাহিনী প্রস্তুত রয়েছে।
